August 11, 2008 - My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Folino's recently. What an experience, the place is a unique combination of Italian Restaurant, Diner and Bar. I've never seen such a unique undertaking. The owner Penny spent time talking to us and explaining her concept. I think she's onto something. We only tried the Italian food and it was great. I had the pasta sampler which had gnocchi, ravioli, lasagna and eggplant parmesan. There was so much food, I couldn't finish it. The Pasta dishes were very good, but the eggplant parm was to die for. My wife had a penne dish with spinach and feta cheese with calamata olives and she absolutely raved about it. They also had a camera in their kitchen and you were able to view it on a 42inch flatscreen in the dining room. Needless to say, our evening was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
